ABOUT MSAFIRI

Msafiri Travels is fully owned and managed by myself, Leina Lemomo. My nomadic heritage - I am a Maasai by blood - has taken me from Kenya, Malawi, and Tanzania, and to over a dozen other African countries. With my wide experience as a tour operator, and with a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable personnel we will guide you through this part of Africa with a passion and knowledge  that is evident in our interpretation and interaction with you and our surroundings.

What is included in your safari

Msafiri Travels is based in Dar es Salaam, fully recognized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, and holds a TALA license  No 00009869. Our safaris cover the whole of Tanzania, in combination with the neighbouring countries (Kenya, Malawi, Northern Mozambique and Eastern Zambia). Our packages include tailor made, group safaris, camping and lodge safaris, cultural safaris, beach holidays, team bonding, photographic safaris, incentives and Family safaris. Our rates are highly competitive without compromising quality.

Our Safaris are conducted in well-maintained open roof 4WD vehicles with a maximum of six persons per vehicle.

The Msafiri Mobile Camp, with a maximum of six clients, offers total exclusivity, bringing back the nostalgic memories of the old colonial-style luxury safaris. The meals are prepared by our bush chef to the highest standards. Each tent is equipped with twin or double beds, flushable chemical/bush toilets and bush showers.

For camping safaris, we  use 2m x 2m Ox-bow tents with a maximum of 2 clients per tent. Mattress, pillows, bed sheets and blankets, all camping gear are provided as part of the package. 

All clients travelling with Msafiri Travels are insured with a local evacuation medical policy. This policy facilitates for easy access to a hospital in the event of an emergency, however it does not cover any medical bills.
