The
richness of its cultural heritage and the lure of the exotic spices make
Zanzibar one of the most sort after holiday destinations. The
main attraction of Zanzibar is STONE TOWN with its winding
alleys; white washed old building, bustling bazaars, mosques, exotic
architecture and influences of different cultures.
Day 1: Upon
arrival in Zanzibar transfer to Beach Hotel,
bed and breakfast.
Take
the option in the evening and join the Zanzibaris in the open-air
seafood barbeque extravaganza along the Harbour.
Day 2:
After breakfast, begin a Stone Town Tour,Spice
Tour
and
Jozani
forest,
overnight in
Hotel,
bed
and break fast.
After your tour transfer to Beach Hotel, half board.
This tour will take you to the House of Wonders (the
first house in E. Africa to have an escalator, and electricity), Sultans
Palace, Old Dispensary, The former slave market, the local vegetable and
fruit market with a variety of mouth-watering tropical seasonal fruits.
Exotic spices are cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric and
nutmeg - are as exotic as the flavour. You will also have a chance to
see the iodine plant, henna bush, ylang-ylang, the lipstick tree, cocoa
and coffee trees. The Kidichi Persian Baths was built in 1850 by Seyyid
Said bin Sultan for his Persian wife Princess Sheherezade granddaughter
of the Shah of Persia, you will also visit the Maruhubi Palace Ruins
built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar Seyyid Barghash for his 99
concubines.
Day 3:
Enjoy a
relaxing traditional
body scrub and massage the Zanzibar way.
The aromatic
oils are mixed with locally grown flowers, herbs and spices from
Unguja and Pemba. Rest the day at leisure.
Overnight at Beach Hotel, Half board
Day 4:
Transfer
to airport or ferry for your return to Dar es Salaam.
