Nyerere National Park
Tanzania's largest park at over 30,000 km², this World Heritage Site is home to massive elephant and buffalo herds, the endangered African wild dog, over 440 bird species, and the meandering Rufiji River perfect for boat safaris.
Mikumi National Park
The 4th largest park in Tanzania, accessible by road and SGR train from Dar es Salaam. Buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, and over 400 bird species share this southern circuit gem.
Ruaha National Park
Tanzania's second-largest park. Remote and rewarding, Ruaha hosts rare species including African wild dogs, roan and sable antelope, and greater kudu. The Great Ruaha River draws hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.
Udzungwa National Park
A mountain wilderness of extraordinary biodiversity. Home to species found nowhere else on earth, including the red colobus monkey. The Sanje Waterfalls are a highlight of any visit.
